Todd McKinnon is the CEO and co-founder of Okta, the leading independent Identity provider, which he co-founded in 2009 with Frederic Kerrest. Under Todd’s leadership, Okta has transformed the way millions of people access the digital world and put Identity at the forefront of security and business growth.

Eric Kelleher is Okta's President and Chief Operating Officer. 

Eric leads the company’s global operations, strategy, and execution, driving growth and delivering exceptional value to customers. He plays a critical role in ensuring Okta maintains its position as the World’s Leading Identity Company.

The Office of the Chief Operating Officer includes Marketing, Customer First, Company Operations, GTM Strategy & Operations, Business Technology, Data & Insights, Communications, and Okta for Good. 

Eric joined Okta in 2016 and previously served as President, Customer Experience and Communications, and as Chief Customer Officer.

Eric has spent over 25 years leading SaaS software companies through growth. During his 11 year tenure at Salesforce, he helped write the SaaS playbook and helped grow the business from $50M to $4B. He also spent 2 years at LinkedIn where he established their first Customer Success organization for their Talent Solutions business, growing to $2B. In his 8 years at Okta, he has helped scale revenues from $150M to over $2B. 

Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Economics from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford.

Brett Tighe is the Chief Financial Officer at Okta. He manages the finance, accounting and investor relations teams, and guides strategic investment decisions on hiring and international expansion to drive Okta’s long term growth.

Prior to his role as Chief Financial Officer, Brett served as Okta’s Senior Vice President of FP&A and Treasury. Prior to Okta, he held various positions in finance at Salesforce.com, most notably as Senior Director of Corporate Finance and Strategy.

Brett has an MBA from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Brett enjoys spending time with his family, and when he’s not doing that, he enjoys fly fishing, skiing and golfing.

David Bradbury is the Chief Security Officer at Okta. He oversees security execution, and is responsible for a team navigating the evolving threat landscape to best protect employees and customers. He is also at the forefront of helping Okta’s customers adopt and accelerate Zero Trust security strategies.

Prior to Okta, David was the Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Symantec where he oversaw all cyber security and physical security programs. He has an international reputation for leading and delivering cybersecurity at scale. David has worked across the globe from his native Australia to the UK and the US, leading highly regarded security teams at some of the world’s largest banks including ABN AMRO, Barclays, Morgan Stanley and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

David has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Sydney.

Jon Addison serves as Okta's Chief Revenue Officer. He brings 20+ years of sales leadership and operational experience at scale from various global technology organizations. 

Jon is responsible for driving Okta’s growth worldwide and has prioritized scaling Okta’s go-to-market strategy and operations, building an unstoppable sales team, and delivering impactful customer experiences across the globe. 

Jon joined Okta from LinkedIn, where he most recently led the EMEA & LATAM Talent Solutions business. He has also held roles at Oracle, Finastra, Opentext, Pitney Bowes, and CapGemini. 

In his spare time, Jon enjoys playing the piano, horse racing, and golf matches with his teenage sons. However his real passion lies in long distance running, having completed over 10 marathons.

Larissa Schwartz is Okta’s Chief Legal Officer (CLO). She leads the company’s global legal, compliance, and government affairs teams supporting Okta’s vision of freeing everyone to safely use any technology. She joined Okta’s legal team in 2015 to lead the legal team through the company’s IPO. Prior to becoming CLO, Larissa assumed increasing responsibilities building the Corporate Governance, Compliance and Ethics, Corporate and Securities, Employment, Litigation, and Stock Administration teams, as well as supporting Corporate Development in their M&A, Strategic Transactions, and Okta Ventures work. She also serves as a strategic advisor on initiatives across the company.

Prior to joining Okta, Larissa worked as Director, Corporate Counsel at Jazz Pharmaceuticals and as a corporate associate at Fenwick & West’s Mountain View office and at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett’s Palo Alto office.

Larissa received her J.D. from the University of Hawai’i William S. Richardson School of Law and holds a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Middlebury College and an M. Phil. in Chinese History and M.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University. She is from the San Francisco Bay Area and outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family. 

Kerry Ok is Okta’s Chief Marketing Officer. She is responsible for Okta’s demand generation, product marketing, brand direction, and overall marketing strategy. Kerry brings with her 20-plus years of experience in Demand Generation, Brand, Product Marketing, and Developer Engagement.

Kerry joined Okta in 2021 through the acquisition of Auth0, where she held the role of CMO and was also a key member of the Go-to-Market Leadership team. Prior to joining Auth0, Kerry held leadership roles in B2B technology at Skytap and F5 Networks.

Kerry has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Washington. She lives in the greater Seattle area with her family.

Monty Gray serves as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Okta, where he drives strategic growth through mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, Okta Ventures, technology partnerships, and oversees Okta for Good, the company’s social impact initiative. With over two decades of enterprise software experience, Monty specializes in strategy, M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, and product management. 

Before joining Okta, Monty served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at SAP, contributing significantly to the company’s strategic growth.  

A Northern California native, Monty holds an MBA from Santa Clara University. He resides in San Francisco and enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the Bay Area, and supporting his kids’ sports activities.

Shiven Ramji is the Chief Product Officer, Customer Identity at Okta, where he is responsible for the Customer Identity Cloud product, data, security and technology strategy, and execution. He believes in empowering developers as they are the new creators, decision-makers, tastemakers, and kingmakers. Before joining Okta through the acquisition of Auth0, Shiv served as the SVP of Product at DigitalOcean, where he led DigitalOcean’s products, pricing, and partnerships. Additionally, Shiv has held leadership positions at global brands including Amazon, NBCUniversal, and The Nielsen Company. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, watching Manchester United games, hiking, and biking to different boroughs in New York City.

Vijay Rao serves as Chief People and Places Officer at Okta, overseeing both global HR and Workplace teams responsible for organizational culture, talent strategy, and employee experience. During his tenure, he led the transformation of the company values, built a high performance culture, and scaled systems and processes supporting Okta’s growth from 2,000 to over 6,000 employees.

Vijay has over 25 years of experience in strategic HR leadership across start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Okta, Vijay drove the strategy and execution of Meta’s Global People Operations function, which expanded from two employees to over 500 during the growth of the overall workforce from 3,000 to 85,000.  Vijay also spent time at Microsoft as a technical product manager leading a 5-year global recruiting system and process transformation.

Vijay is a strengths-based leader and coach leveraging a unique blend of strategic leadership, people and business partnering, and technical skills to drive success. He holds a B.A. in History with a minor in Legal Studies from Brandeis University and an HR certificate from Bentley College. 

Ed Daly serves as Okta’s Chief Customer Officer. In this role, Ed leads Okta’s Customer First organization and guides strategic decisions that impact the customer experience to drive Okta’s long-term growth. The Customer First organization includes Technical Support, Professional Services, Education Services, Renewal Sales, and Customer Success. These teams are responsible for ensuring that customers are successful and realizing value with Okta solutions.

Prior to his role as Chief Customer Officer, Ed served as Okta’s Senior Vice President of Customer Success and Renewal Sales. Prior to Okta, he held various positions at Cisco in the Go-To-Market and services organizations, most notably leading Cisco’s Global Customer Success team.

Ed has an MBA from Northwestern University’s J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Ed lives with his family in the greater San Francisco area.

Prior to Okta, Shibu served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer at Veritas Technologies, a leader in multi-cloud data management. He has over 25 years of experience leading global finance teams across North America, Asia and Europe in the technology, software and cloud sectors. Shibu began his career with progressive leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte and KPMG. 

Shibu holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Bangalore University, a Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Shibu is an active volunteer in his community and also in international outreach organizations involved with helping to support under-privileged children. Shibu lives with his family in the Bay Area, California.

Frederic Kerrest is the Vice Chairman and co-founder of Okta and has been a director since July 2009. He served as Okta’s Chief Operating Officer from 2009 to November 2023, during which time he was responsible for Okta's day-to-day operations and worked with employees, partners, and customers to deliver on our vision of freeing everyone to safely use any technology. As a key member of management, Frederic helped set corporate priorities to drive success for Okta and our customers. He oversaw corporate strategy, corporate development, strategic partnerships, and Okta’s social impact arm, Okta for Good.

Prior to Okta, Frederic worked in sales and business development at Salesforce.com, and in venture capital at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.

Frederic is the author of Zero to IPO, a Wall Street Journal-bestselling guidebook to building startups based on his own experiences, as well as those of some of the world’s most successful and recognizable entrepreneurs. The book was an outgrowth of his award-winning podcast of the same name, which features Silicon Valley founders, investors, and entrepreneurs sharing insights from their experiences building businesses. He advises early-stage software companies and serves as a Member of the MIT Corporation Visiting Committee for the Sloan School of Management.

Frederic earned a B.S. in computer science from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. in entrepreneurship and innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was the recipient of the 2008 MIT Patrick J. McGovern, Jr. Entrepreneurship Award..

Shellye Archambeau joined our board in December 2018. She is the former Chief Executive Officer of MetricStream, a leading provider of governance, risk, compliance and quality management solutions to corporations across diverse industries. Shellye served in this role from 2002 until 2018. Prior to that, she served as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales for Loudcloud, Chief Marketing Officer of NorthPoint Communications, and President of Blockbuster’s e-commerce division. Before she joined Blockbuster, she held domestic and international executive positions during a 15-year career at IBM. Ms. Archambeau has served on the boards of directors of Verizon Communications. since December 2013, and of Roper Technologies since April 2018. In the past five years, she has served on the board of Nordstrom, Inc. and Arbitron, Inc..

Shellye holds a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Bates serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Genesys Cloud Services, Inc., where he has worked since May 2019 leading the company’s strategy, direction, and operations in more than 100 countries and overseeing a global team of more than 6,000 employees. 

Previously, Mr. Bates served as the Vice Chairman of the Board  of Social Capital LP from 2017 to 2019 and CEO of Growth Equity of Social Capital from 2018-2019, President of GoPro Inc. from 2014 to 2016, and CEO of Skype Inc. from October 2010 to May 2011. While at Skype, he was responsible for expanding the business to over 170 million connected users. Once Skype was acquired by Microsoft, he became President where he was responsible for unified communications before serving as Executive Vice President of business development and developers from May 2011 to March 2014. Prior to Skype, Mr. Bates served as Senior Vice President at Cisco from May 1996 to September 2010 where he led Cisco’s Service Provider business, growing its enterprise and commercial division to more than $20 billion in annual revenue.

A passionate technologist at heart, Mr. Bates began his career in network operations and internet infrastructure, teaching himself to code as a network operator at the University London Computer Centre (ULCC) and quickly gaining the business acumen to advance into trusted executive roles at some of the world’s most respected global SaaS companies.

Mr. Bates also served as a member of the board of directors at VMWare, eBay, GoPro and SiriusXM.

Emilie Choi joined our board in August 2022. She has served as President of Coinbase Global, since November 2020, and as Chief Operating Officer since June 2019. At Coinbase, Emilie served as Vice President of Business, Data and International from March 2018 to June 2019. She also served on  the board of directors of ZipRecruiter, from November 2018 to August 2022, and Naspers Limited and Prosus N.V., a subsidiary of Naspers Limited, from April 2017 to August 2021.

Previously, Emilie served as the Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at LinkedIn, and following its acquisition in December 2016, a subsidiary of Microsoft. Prior to LinkedIn, Emilie held leadership roles in corporate development, strategy, and operations at Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. from August 2007 to December 2009. She also worked in corporate development and strategy at Yahoo! Inc. from 2003 to 2005 and began her career as a Senior Analyst in Investment Banking at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. from 2000 to 2003.

Emilie holds a B.A. in economics from the Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Robert Dixon joined our board in June 2019. He has been the owner of The RD Factor, Inc., a digital and information technology consulting business, since December 2016. He served as Global Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of PepsiCo, Inc., a global food and beverage company, from 2007 through 2016. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Inc., Robert held various executive positions with The Procter & Gamble Company, a consumer household products company, since 1977, including Vice President of Global Business Services from 2005 until 2007. He has served on the board of directors of Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), a health benefits company, since July 2011, and Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc., a specialty retailer, since February 2018. Robert is an Emeritus Trustee of the Foundation Board for The Georgia Institute of Technology and serves on the College of Computing Advisory Board. Robert previously served on the CIO Advisory Board for IBM. 

Robert holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Jeff Epstein joined our board in May 2021. He is an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, which he joined in November 2011. From September 2008 to April 2011, Jeff served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle, an enterprise software company. Prior to joining Oracle, Mr. Epstein served as chief financial officer of several public and private companies. Mr. Epstein has served on the board of directors of Twilio, a cloud communication platform company, since July 2021, and served on the boards of directors of Booking Holdings from April 2003 to June 2019; Shutterstock from April 2018 to June 2021, and Poshmark from April 2018 to January 2023.

Jeff holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Ben Horowitz joined our board in February 2010. He is a co-founder and General Partner of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, and The New York Times bestselling author of The Hard Thing About Hard Things, which is now available in over 16 languages. 

Ben co-founded and was CEO of Opsware (formerly Loudcloud) from September 1999 to September 2007, which was acquired by HP in 2007. He was Vice President and General Manager of Business Technology Optimization for Software at HP from September 2007 to October 2008. Prior to his roles at Opsware and HP, Ben was Vice President and General Manager of America Online’s E-Commerce Platform division, where he oversaw the development of the company’s flagship Shop@AOL service. Ben previously ran several product divisions at Netscape Communications, and also served as Vice President of Netscape’s Directory and Security product line. Ben was a board member of Lyft, from June 2016 to June 2020, and currently serves on the boards of several private companies.

Ben holds a B.A. in computer science from Columbia University, and an M.S. in computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Becky Saeger joined our board in January 2019. She served as Executive Vice President at Charles Schwab from 2004 until 2011, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Charles Schwab, she was Executive Vice President, Marketing at Visa U.S.A. Before joining Visa, Ms. Saeger was Senior Vice President and head of Account Management at Foote, Cone & Belding and Senior Vice President at Ogilvy & Mather. From February 2012 to October 2020, Becky served on the board of E*TRADE Financial Corporation and as a member of the E*TRADE Bank board.

Becky holds a B.A. from Muhlenberg College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mike Stankey joined our board in December 2016. He is the former Vice Chairman of Workday, a role he served in from June 2015 to May 2024. Previously at Workday, Mike served as its President and Chief Operating Officer from September 2009 to June 2015, and on its board of directors from June 2015 to April 2021. In addition, Mike served on the board of directors of Cloudera from February 2017 to October 2021. From September 2007 to September 2009, Mike was an Operating Partner at Greylock. From December 2001 to April 2007, Mike served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at PolyServe.

Mike holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
