Eric C.: We call ourselves SaaS for SaaS. And what that means is we help companies manage every single SaaS and Cloud subscription in their business. And so, we help companies understand costs, understand usage, so they can make sure they're optimized with all the applications that they have in their company.

Eric C.: There's a lot of things that are great about it. I think the thing that really comes to mind is just how I get to work with Cloud Forward enterprises and partners like like Okta, and then because of the nature of the types of companies and partners we have our team, it really looks like that as well. So, work with a Cloud Forward, innovative team and ecosystem, which is awesome.

Eric C.: The partnership with Okta is really important to Zylo. We actually launched our business. We launched as a company in Oktane 2016, and we decided to make Okta really a backbone of our strategy and really within our product, to allow companies to get better visibility into what products that they're using across the enterprise.

Eric C.: A key part of our integration and our value is that as Okta focuses on security and usage of applications, what Zylo brings to the partnership is it allows customers to get insight into the cost of the applications. So now, not only using Okta and Zylo together, do you look at utilization, but you also can understand the complete financial picture and make sure customers are right-sizing their contracts and licensing details with customers, and improving vendor relationships.

Eric C.: When we started the company, we thought about what the values should be, and we've kind of stayed to these, and really our values are really number one is being enterprise class. We're working with some of the largest companies in the world, so whether it's the product or the team experience and things like that, we just want everything to be enterprise best in class.

Eric C.: We talk a lot about high velocity. In a SaaS software world like ours, we have to move really fast. So we want to build things quickly for customers and be responsive, and things like that. And kind of balancing that, it's all about quality. So everything we build, it kind of balances it out. So if we're going to work fast, that's one thing, but we also need to make sure it's right with customers. And so those are the things that keep us focused on our mission and things at hand.

Eric C.: I think what's cool about Okta too, it's a public company. It's a lot bigger than what it used to be, but we're an emerging technology company over the last couple of years. And, the ability for the partnership team and be really responsive to us has been really impactful. So, it almost feels like we're working with another startup and they can move as fast, which I think is pretty powerful.

As more organizations move to the cloud, it becomes more difficult to have complete visibility into the SaaS spend and utilization across the enterprise. IT is no longer the only department purchasing cloud software, and now struggles to see a single view of all software use across the organization. The decentralization of cloud software leads to increased security risks, application proliferation, licensing waste, lack of governance, and an overall unknown value of software.
