Course Overview
Use Okta Fine Grained Authorization (FGA) to create authorization models that fit use cases that go beyond role-based access control (RBAC). Learn how Okta FGA extends OpenFGA and relation-based access control (ReBAC).
- Differentiate FGA as a concept from Okta FGA as a product.
- Define relevant authorization systems (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC).
- Identify use cases for Okta FGA.
- Define the recommended steps for designing an authorization model.
- Define the components of ReBAC (objects and relations).
- Define the components of the Okta FGA dashboard.
- Understand how to add an authorization store, define a model, relationship tuples, and assertions in the Okta FGA dashboard.
After taking this series of quick, self-paced courses, practice adding authorization to an API using Okta FGA through hands-on lab activities provided at the end of the series. You’ll add authorization to an API that we provide you with, and register the associated client web application with Auth0 as an identity provider.
