Senior Manager, Risk Management
If you want to be a part of a dynamic, forward-thinking Governance, Risk, and Compliance organization focused on building a best-in-class, cutting edge security risk management program, come join the Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Team at Okta. As a critical foundation of GRC, the Senior Manager, Risk Management is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive and robust security risk management framework throughout the organization. This candidate will bring extensive experience in partnering with technical stakeholders to provide risk advisory in the assessment of systems and security risks including in the development of new products and features while aligning with Okta’s risk appetite.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated capability in designing and implementing an enterprise-wide security risk management framework and reporting for multifaceted organizations.
- Established and successful track record of working as a trusted member of an enterprise-level security organization.
- Experience in building productive relationships and driving collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.
- Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable risk management processes that ensure identification, tracking, and mitigation or resolution of issues and risks, including policy deviations.
- Develop and maintain processes that foster a risk-aware culture.
- Design and implement programs and tools to catalog and track issues, risks, their associated action plans, and/or acceptances, along with reporting capability for audit, continuous monitoring, and program maturation.
- Identity, assess, and mitigate security risks across different domain levels.
- Conduct post-incident security reviews with cooperation from Technical SMEs, Process and Control Owners, and Leadership.
- Act as a security liaison for Mergers & Acquisition.
- Analyze the design of controls around the system architecture in the context of information technology and security controls and their risk impact.
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of the relevant security controls.
Must Haves
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Security risk professional with in-depth knowledge of IT/Saas risks, Cybersecurity, operational risks.
- 10+ years technology risk management at a comparably sized company and/or Big 4 candidates with related engagement experience.
- Strong security background; security certification preferred (e.g., CISA, CISM, CRSC, CISSP).
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organization skills while maintaining a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency w/ key tools - Google Suite, Jira, GRC platforms.
- Experience with dashboarding platforms such as Tableau is a plus but not required.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:$186,000—$278,000 CADWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
