Associate Federal Security Compliance Analyst
This position is for a Federal Security Compliance Analyst on the Okta Federal Security and Compliance team. This team’s mission is to strengthen Okta’s position as the leading Identity-as-a-Service solution through a security-first approach to compliance. This team is largely focused on working with internal and external stakeholders to maintain our FedRAMP, DOD, and additional Public Sector authorizations for our Okta government systems.
As an Analyst on this team, you will support security initiatives by engaging various process owners in the design, documentation, implementation, monitoring of the appropriate controls in our computing environments. This candidate will also work with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and report on our compliance posture, security controls, and compliance related processes.
The ideal candidate should have a baseline understanding of security and compliance controls, including those required in FedRAMP Moderate, High, and DoD Impact Level 4 and Level 5 frameworks. The candidate should also have a baseline understanding of how modern day applications work in the cloud.
This position requires a unique set of skills including project management, technical competency, and independent thinking/problem solving. The candidate should also be skilled with workplace collaboration applications (Google Workspaces, JIRA, and Slack).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support FedRAMP and DoD audits of the company’s Federal cloud offerings
- Work with internal stakeholders to complete monthly continuous monitoring deliverables and support the presentation of those results to external Federal customers
- Work with internal Okta teams to assess impact of changes to the federal systems and applications; and support the scheduling of assessments for these changes
- Assist in the development of compliance and security documentation, including system security plans, control implementation statements, information security policies, and risk assessment procedures
- Assist with the development of automation and tooling for recurring Compliance processes
Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Additional requirements:
- This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data. As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$92,000—$138,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
