The Global Field Enablement team

The Global Field Enablement team at Okta serves to build global enablement programs for sellers at scale. This team designs and executes initiatives focused on driving field effectiveness in role and meeting the objectives of the business.

The Sr. Enablement Content Strategist opportunity 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Field Enablement Systems, you will design, develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that directly supports our sales goals and initiatives. As the Senior Enablement Content Strategist, you will oversee the creation, management, best practices, and optimization of content across various platforms and formats to ensure effectiveness and coherence in our enablement content.

What you’ll be doing

  • Content Strategy Development: Craft and execute a data-driven, user-centric content strategy that directly fuels Okta’s global revenue, growth, and sales enablement objectives. Ensure alignment with overarching business goals and sales targets.
  • Content Architecture: Spearhead the design and implementation of a comprehensive content architecture that enhances accessibility and optimizes utilization by the sales team, ensuring content is structured for maximum impact.
  • Strategic Collaboration with Sales & Product Marketing: Serve as a key advisor to sales and product marketing leaders, pinpointing content requirements and offering strategic recommendations to boost sales performance and effectiveness.
  • Content Management: Oversee the entire content lifecycle, including strategic planning, governance, creation, editing, approval, publishing, and retirement, ensuring content remains relevant and impactful.
  • Innovation in Content Delivery: Explore and implement innovative content delivery methods to enhance sales team engagement and effectiveness. Stay ahead of industry trends to introduce cutting-edge solutions.
  • Content Performance Analysis & Optimization: Perform thorough analyses of content performance using advanced analytics tools. Utilize insights to refine strategies, improve content efficacy, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Engagement & Continuous Improvement: Create and implement content initiatives to drive engagement and adoption, while continuously refining content, templates, and design to enhance effectiveness.
  • KPI Development & SEO Optimization: Define and track KPIs to measure content effectiveness, using data insights to adjust strategies. Ensure content is optimized for SEO to enhance visibility and user engagement.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 8+ years of content strategy and management experience, specifically for field teams within a technology company. Experience working in sales enablement is preferred.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and performance metrics to drive strategic decisions. Experience with analytics tools and deriving actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product management.
  •  Demonstrated ability to explore and implement innovative content delivery methods and design solutions. A creative approach to problem-solving and content development.
  • Solid project management skills with experience overseeing content lifecycle, from creation to publishing. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with SEO best practices. Experience with WalkMe, Highspot or similar tools and platforms is preferred.
  • Proficiency in knowledge management, content management systems and tools.
  • Innovative and forward-thinking approach to content strategy.
  • Experience in high-growth environments with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$142,000$214,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $159,000$239,000 USD
