The Global Enablement team

Okta’s Global Enablement team is at the heart of our growth strategy. We empower customer-facing teams globally with the tools, training, and skills needed to drive business value at every touchpoint. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Technical Solutions, and Operations, we deliver innovative solutions that maximize business impact and scale globally.

The Enablement Operations team within Global Enablement plays a critical role in optimizing and scaling Okta’s enablement processes, systems, and tools globally. The Senior Director of Enablement Operations will lead this team, drive enablement operational excellence, and ensure the long-term success of Okta’s enablement programs.

The Senior Director, Enablement Operations opportunity

As the Senior Director of Enablement Operations, you will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of Okta’s global enablement operations, systems, communication and learning design teams. Reporting to the SVP of Global Enablement, you will collaborate with your peer set and senior leaders across Okta to align enablement programs with business goals and drive operational efficiencies that scale across the organization.

This is a senior leadership role where you will shape the vision and direction for enablement operations globally, lead a high-performing team, and build scalable, data-driven systems and processes that enable Okta’s continued growth.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a talented team of enablement operations professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to ensure success and drive global impact
  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap for enablement operations, ensuring alignment with Okta’s global business objectives and GTM initiatives while partnering with senior leadership to ensure OKRs and priorities are met
  • Shape the global strategy for enablement operations, building scalable systems, processes, and tools that enhance efficiency and performance across Okta’s teams
  • Own Okta’s enablement tools stack (LMS, CMS, analytics tools, etc.), ensuring integration with other systems and optimizing the overall tech stack for efficiency and user adoption
  • Identify and remove operational bottlenecks through designing and implementing automated workflows to increase efficiency and scalability, therefore ensuring that Okta’s enablement efforts are as impactful as possible
  • Collaborate with your enablement leadership peer group to ensure that enablement initiatives align with business needs and drive measurable results
  • Lead change management efforts for the rollout of new tools, systems, and processes to Okta’s global GTM teams while also designing and delivering comprehensive training & adoption programs to ensure successful deployment and engagement
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of enablement programs, and develop interactive dashboards to track performance; use data-driven insights to refine processes, ensuring continuous program improvement
  • Lead the creation of interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with actionable insights while ensuring transparency in reporting and aligning reporting structures with business objectives
  • Oversee the global scalability of enablement programs, ensuring that regional needs are accounted for while maintaining alignment with global standards and strategies
  • Oversee the creation of an enablement communications strategy that gives employees what they need, when they need it and establishes the Global Enablement team as the single source to keep the field in the know
  • Own relationships with vendors providing enablement technologies inclusive of overseeing the selection, implementation, and performance evaluation of new tools and ensuring Okta maximizes value from its investments
  • Manage the evaluation process for new enablement technologies, from assessment through contract negotiation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure tools evolve in line with Okta’s business needs
  • Lead the strategy, development and enhancement of Okta’s learning experience, ensuring that customer-facing teams across regions have access to high-quality, impactful learning resources
  • Work with Learning and Development to create learning programs that seamlessly integrate across Okta’s platforms to improve accessibility and engagement

What you’ll bring to the role & what we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in field enablement operations and/or business operations within high-growth, technology companies, with at least 5 years in leadership roles 
  • Proven experience in scaling global field enablement programs, with expertise in aligning them with business objectives and driving measurable outcomes
  • Deep knowledge of enablement technologies (e.g., LMS, CMS, knowledge management systems, AI tools, analytics platforms) and experience managing tool stacks across global organizations
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and SQL or Python to drive data insights and continuous program improvement
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and experience managing systems integrations and automation to streamline operational workflows
  • Strong project management and program execution skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to executive leadership, driving alignment across teams, and ensuring stakeholder engagement

Additional experience that we value 

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company, particularly in identity management, cloud infrastructure, or security
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger, Solution Selling) and experience enabling sales or technical GTM teams
  • Knowledge of DevOps, cloud technologies, or Okta’s core identity and security solutions
  • Proven experience managing and scaling global enablement programs across distributed teams and markets

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$206,000$308,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $230,000$346,000 USD
