The Field Enablement Team

Field Enablement at Okta serves to support the Okta Field and Partners & Alliances teams. 

The Director, Enablement Business Partners Opportunity

The Director of Enablement Business Partners will oversee the American-based Enablement Business Partner team, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with global strategies. This role demands a dynamic leader well-versed in security/identity management, team leadership, and collaboration with sales leaders. This person will be instrumental in deploying global enablement strategies, fostering executive communication, and navigating conflicting priorities to establish a cohesive Enablement team serving the field. 

What you’ll be doing 
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Oversee and manage the America-based Enablement Business Partner team.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
    • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Sales Enablement Strategy
    • Demonstrate ownership of global enablement strategies and drive participation through active engagement with leaders in addition to a strong communication strategy.
    • Develop and execute enablement strategies aligned with business goals and sales objectives.
    • Collaborate with sales leaders to identify needs and implement effective enablement programs.
    • Ensure consistent enablement practices and messaging across all sales segments.
  • Content Creation and Delivery
    • Consult on the development of enablement content, including training materials, playbooks, and resources to meet the needs of the Field team. 
    • Ensure content is relevant and up-to-date.
    • Utilize Highspot for effective content delivery.
  • Executive Communication
    • Serve as a key point of contact for executive communication regarding enablement initiatives.
    • Prepare and present reports, updates, and strategic plans to senior leadership to drive clear understanding of participation as well as areas of opportunity.
    • Foster strong relationships with executives and key stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Implement and maintain execution of enablement plans to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
    • Navigate conflicting priorities while making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
  • Global Team Integration
    • Promote a sense of unity and collaboration across the Global Enablement team.
    • Deliver feedback/learnings from AMER Field teams to the Global Enablement team.
    • Align regional enablement strategies with global objectives and initiatives.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices among all of the different regions.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10+ years of experience in a sales enablement role directly supporting and owning the relationship with sales leadership, preferably within the security industry
  • Experience with program development and execution
  • 7+ years of direct experience managing a team
  • Strong facilitation and executive communication skills 

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Language skills
  • Experience with Highspot, Salesforce, Cornerstone
  • Experience with Sales Methodologies (ValueSelling, Sandler, Challenger, etc.)
  • Experience in the Identity industry is a plus

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$174,000$263,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $195,000$293,000 USD
