We are looking for a rockstar product management leader who can push the envelope of Okta’s Identity Management products by evolving our core directory platform components, such as Universal Directory and Sync. As Director of Product Management for Core Identity Management, this manager will be responsible for product strategy and vision and will manage a PM team dedicated to scaling our Universal Directory and Imports framework across Workforce use cases and beyond and ensuring the platform works for all Okta products. You will be an ideal fit for this role if you have Enterprise B2B SaaS experience and have built high-scale, successful platform products.
Responsibilities
- Drive the growth of Okta Universal Directory through product strategy, vision, and execution.
- Collaborate with Global Cross Functional teams to drive the Lifecycle Management platform by evolving Okta’s imports framework and owning the top strategic integrations, most adopted by Okta customers
- .Develop roadmaps that make hard tradeoffs and prioritize the highest value work first.
- Work with India-based development scrum teams (PM, UX, Dev) to deliver platform capabilities that delight our customers.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify customer needs, validate hypotheses, and use this information to inform strategic vision, innovation, product decisions, prioritization, and roadmap.
- Define and communicate product requirements, including features, user experience, and technical specifications, to engineering and design teams.
- Leverage product data to continually get smarter about how to improve our existing products, and work across the business to drive adoption and success.
- Track industry trends and think strategically to develop differentiated solutions from the competition
- Be the subject matter expert for your product area and help enable your counterparts who rely on Okta’s Universal Directory and Lifecycle Management platform to drive differentiated product outcomes
- Actively mentor and support the professional development of the PMs you manage by identifying their strengths, aspirations, and areas for improvement.
Required:
- 8-10+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise-scale B2B SaaS products or comparable relevant experience.
- Experience building or product managing high-scale platform products
- Strong communication (presentation, verbal, and written) and collaboration skills. You easily work with customers and colleagues across different functions and backgrounds.
- Demonstrated business results from products, features, or capabilities you have shipped.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You can produce solid action plans from often incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs.
- Passion for Okta’s huge opportunity and growth potential and general thirst for learning with an ability to go broad and deep across business and technical contexts.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Identity and Access management protocols and products, such as Active Directory, Entra ID
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience that allows you to rationalize and influence technical design decisions.
- Advanced degree in technical or business field, MBA helpful.
- Experience building and growing high-performing teams
