About the Role
As the Internal Communications Manager & Live Events Producer, you will define and lead the strategy and event production for enterprise-wide internal communications. You will also craft and execute innovative storytelling strategies, elevate event production to new heights, and create content that inspires and engages Okta’s global team members. In this role, you will:
- Develop and champion Okta’s culture, vision, and direction through innovative storytelling, impactful content, and enterprise-wide events.
- Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Company All Hands—ensuring professional-grade production, engaging content, and a high-impact employee experience.
- Conceptualize and deliver dynamic video and digital assets that bring our internal channels to life.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to execute communications for initiatives that align with Okta’s business objectives and drive employee engagement.
This position is part of Okta’s Global Communications team and will report to Okta’s Senior Director, Internal and Executive Communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Elevate internal events: Own the strategy and execution of Okta’s Company All Hands and other major internal events, transforming them into high-quality, engaging, and professional experiences that resonate with in-person and remote audiences. Responsible for:
- Meeting planning and agenda development: Collaborating across Okta to determine topics, speakers, and meeting structure, in addition to creating a briefing doc for the meeting host.
- Run of show management: Develop detailed timelines, cue sheets, and contingency plans to coordinate event flow and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
- Speaker management: Briefing presenters on run of how, expectations, rehearsing presentations, and ensuring content aligns with the meeting objectives and company priorities.
- Event production and logistics coordination: Partnering with Workplace and AV on the technical aspects of the meeting (e.g. speakers, panelists, demos, videos, music, etc); and pre-event testing (dry runs, audio-visual setup, troubleshooting).
- In-person attendance engagement: Coordinating with Workplace and regional teams to drive in-person employee experiences to tune into the meeting together at Okta offices around the world.
- Communications and outreach: Drafting and sending invites for each company-wife meeting, rehearsals, AV checks, and providing pre-meeting updates to key stakeholders (host, speakers, AV, etc)..
- Channel strategy: Ensure the right content reaches the right audiences through effective channel planning, leveraging data and insights to optimize communication strategies.
- Storytelling innovation: Develop strategic campaigns, video content, and digital storytelling experiences to inspire and connect employees with Okta’s vision, culture, and priorities.
- Content creation and design: Partner with internal teams to produce engaging multimedia assets (e.g., videos, presentations, motion graphics) for Okta’s internal channels.
- Executive collaboration: Advise and coach senior leadership and key partners on communications, including presentations, All Hands, town halls, and company-wide announcements.
- Trend spotting and innovation: Stay ahead of the curve on creative and production trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to elevate employee engagement and communications.
- Metrics-driven storytelling: Partner with the stakeholders across the company to assess the impact of creative initiatives and events on employee engagement. Use insights to inform strategies and improve outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in communications, creative production, or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing high-impact content and managing end-to-end creative production for events or campaigns.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering error-free work, ensuring accuracy in messaging, event execution, and content production.
- Strong storytelling and design sensibility, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling, visually engaging messages.
- Proficiency in creative tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and/or other video editing platforms.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $138,000—$206,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as an Full-Time Okta employee!
