As part of the Demand Generation team and reporting to the Director, Commercial Regional Marketing, you will lead marketing efforts across the US Commercial team (SMB and Corporate) focused on customer expansion via upsell and cross-sell for Okta’s Workforce and Customer Identity Clouds. 

Partnering closely with sales leadership at the VP level, you will own the US customer expansion marketing strategy and drive pipeline through a highly-visible portfolio of marketing programs. You’ll need strong knowledge of field and integrated marketing programs and know how to align those programs to corporate goals. The role will require proven ability to use data to create and execute multi-tactic marketing strategies that drive expansion within customer accounts including in-person and virtual events, email, direct mail and digital programs. You’ll also need to manage vendors and internal stakeholders, and must have the ability to effectively work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Own the Commercial customer expansion marketing strategy and plan for the US, from budget to ideation, execution and measurement, including both upsell and cross-sell initiatives
  • Leverage customer insights to develop distinct positioning and messaging 
  • Work with cross functional marketing teams to implement the customer expansion strategy, leveraging existing programs as well as creating new ones
  • Work closely with the field sales teams and leadership at the VP level to determine needs and programs in order to support pipeline goals
  • Track, analyze and measure the region’s marketing funnel and conversion rates to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with Sales on pre-event and campaign preparation as well as post-campaign follow up with SDRs
  • Participate in research and development of events, sponsorships, face-to-face marketing platforms that align to regional and corporate goals
  • Communication of marketing programs, campaigns, events to key stakeholders
  • Share best-practices across the regions
  • Collaborate with the broader Partner Team to support local partner programs

You would be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in regional/field marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Marketing preferred
  • Experience with marketing automation & CRM platforms a plus (preferably with Marketo and Salesforce)
  • Experience in executing integrated, ROI-driven marketing and lead generation programs, utilizing a variety of channels
  • Ability to gather insights and develop targeted messaging 
  • Strong analytical abilities. You love working with data, analyzing outcomes, and scoping out key insights to establish continuous optimization
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment where you may have to wear multiple hats
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable with working with leadership teams
  • Organization and time management skills, rigor, attention to details

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$123,000$185,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $138,000$206,000 USD
