Senior Privacy Analyst, Privacy Operations

As Senior Privacy Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting privacy across all aspects of the organization at a high-growth, publicly-traded enterprise software company. You will work on cutting-edge privacy projects, in a modern, cloud-first, SaaS environment, to help Okta deliver world-class products to our thousands of global customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Be an integral part of shaping a culture of privacy throughout Okta.
- Assist Okta departments to further adopt privacy by design into all products and processes.
- Support and guide the business in complying with privacy requirements, including tracking changes to applicable privacy laws and regulations.
- Carry out data protection impact assessments, transfer risk assessments, and supporting audits as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of privacy controls across Okta.
- Manage data subject requests and be the main point of contact for ensuring our processes run smoothly.
- Implement tactical, measurable and scalable processes for demonstrating privacy compliance.
- Form strong collaborative relationships with Okta teams globally.
- Provide integral input in improving and maturing our privacy program and processes.
What you’ll bring to the role
- 5+ years of experience in privacy compliance, data governance or similar legal/compliance analyst roles.
- Fundamental project management skills (e.g. project charters, trackers, timelines, and reports).
- Relevant privacy certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, or CIPM) desired.
- Experience working for a technology company, in-house privacy team, privacy department, or consulting firm.
- Experience working with or for global cloud computing and software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers.
- Sophisticated Microsoft Office and GSuite skills (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Docs, Sheets, or Slides).
- Proficiency with project management practices, workflow tools and methodologies (e.g. DataGrail, Airtable, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheets) desired.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in high pressure situations.
- Organized, responsive, and persistent with good follow-through.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to conduct research on constantly evolving data privacy standards.
- Effectively balance competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment.
- Enjoy operating both independently and cross-functionally.
- Be an emerging subject matter expert in privacy laws, regulations, policies, standards, with a desire to build skills providing practical, concise privacy knowledge to help Okta teams.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$98,000—$146,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
