The Delivery Enablement & Operations within Customer Identity Cloud (CIC) is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional delivery of our most strategic portfolio of work. Reporting to the Vice President of Delivery Enablement and Operations, we are looking for someone with a passion for technology, security and operational excellence. 

The Principal Technical Program Manager Opportunity

You will partner with senior product and engineering leaders in the CIC Product Unit to successfully plan and execute strategic programs, including customer-facing and AI innovation initiatives. You are a natural leader with a growth mindset who has led cross-functional teams, reaching across organizational silos in delivering highly complex initiatives.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and other cross-functional leaders, internal or external to Okta, to define program goals and ensure delivery against those goals 
  • Establish and continuously optimize practices and processes to improve the way we execute on programs
  • Build trusted partnerships to effectively communicate and influence all levels in the organization
  • Collaborate with peers to drive consistency of practice, provide insight & measure execution health
  • Act as a champion for Agile and Lean principles across the organization
  • Engage key technical and functional stakeholders by establishing strong relationships, setting expectations, and aligning delivery to program goals

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience in a remote software, SaaS, or systems development environment
  • Experience managing complex programs that span large, cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive impact at scale
  • Skilled collaborator, comfortable leading with influence, not authority 
  • Track record of working with executive teams to deliver large scale programs

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Working at a high paced, fast growing tech startup
  • Technical degree and/or background in software development
  • Experience with transformational programs, such as platform migrations or integrations

Additional requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to access federal environments and/or have access to protected federal data.  As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) upon hire.

 

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$164,000$246,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $184,000$270,000 USD
