The Manager, Project Management will be responsible for assisting the Director, Project Management in driving the overall Commercial business with a particular emphasis on supporting billable revenue generating activities in professional services.
The Manager has a deep understanding of professional services methodologies, approaches, KPIs, and management in order to manage complex, multi-work stream efforts, to bring functional depth as well as solid project management skills to work collaboratively with the customer resources and the Okta project team to deliver results.
This role provides for alignment with Commercial Services Account Executives in order to support pre-sales services activities that will include statement of work generation, customer presentations of services solutions, and supporting internal deal review and approval processes.
Success criteria/metrics for this role will include:
- Drive revenue growth within the Commercial segment by meeting or exceeding quarterly targets, including objectives for generating additional business and expanding client opportunities.
- Collaborate with account teams to define and prioritize key accounts. Regularly engage with customer contacts to maintain strong, ongoing relationships and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Providing thought leadership to enhance the quality of Okta-customer relationship.
- Ensures their team of project managers meet or exceed utilization targets.
- Set and monitor clear KPIs for the project management team, ensuring that all team members meet or exceed performance expectations and deliverables.
- Own the end-to-end delivery process for the Commercial segment, including governance, forecasting, and comprehensive reporting. Ensure projects are executed to the highest standards, with clear visibility into progress and outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted leader, ensuring that all team activities and customer interactions are in alignment with Okta’s core values. Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professional services project managers, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
- Oversee project manager performance on planning, execution, and delivery of client projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and the highest quality standards.
- Manages client relationships, ensuring successful implementation of Okta’s solutions, timely delivery of projects, and alignment with customer business goals.
- Continuously refine and improve internal processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the professional services team.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for team members, provide regular performance feedback, and support professional development opportunities.
- Handle complex customer escalations and ensure that issues are resolved quickly and satisfactorily, maintaining strong customer satisfaction levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could affect project delivery. Develop and implement strategies for managing potential issues before they impact client relationships or project outcomes.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, team performance, and client satisfaction metrics to senior leadership. Track and analyze project KPIs to ensure that delivery meets expected outcomes.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in post-sales delivery roles, with a strong focus on delivering professional services to customers.
- 5+ years of direct experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in customer-facing positions such as Professional Services Manager or Business Development roles, ideally within a technology or consulting organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and mitigating project risks and critical path dependencies, particularly for large-scale enterprise projects.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
- B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
- PMP certification is strongly preferred.
- Up to 25% travel may be required to support client engagements and project needs.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
