  • Title: Senior Platform Administrator (AEM), BT Applications

    Description

    As a Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Platform Administrator you would oversee and maintain our AEM infrastructure focusing on the security as well as overseeing the configurations, security, and maintenance. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability , security, and compliance of our platform AEM environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing AEM environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of the platform. This role involves working closely with development, content, and infrastructure teams to support seamless digital experiences. This position requires working with many new technologies and applications. You will need to be a self-starter, ready to dig in and own projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver quality results. The work is challenging, but you can count on a deep level of support from your team.

    Responsibilities

    • Install, configure, and manage AEM environments, including author, publish, and dispatcher instances.

    • Oversee system architecture, including clustering, load balancing, and caching strategies for optimal performance.

    • Manage and maintain AEM upgrades, patches, and hot- fixes to ensure the platform remains up-to-date.

    • Monitor AEM system performance and proactively address issues like memory usage, thread dumps, and GC optimization.

    • Conduct capacity planning and implement optimizations to support scalability and high availability.

    • Configure and maintain multiple environments to support various stages of the software development life cycle.

    • Implement robust security measures, including user access controls, SSL certificates, and dispatcher security configurations.

    • Regularly audit the platform to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.

    • Monitor and manage integrations with internal and external systems and platforms.

    • Support content authors and ensure smooth publishing workflows.

    • Manage AEM Assets and DAM configurations, ensuring proper taxonomy and metadata usage.

    • Manage integrations with third-party tools, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and external systems.

    • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

    • Diagnose and resolve AEM-related issues, including server errors, replication issues, and application performance bottlenecks.

    • Provide Level 2/3 support for AEM platform-related incidents and outages.

    • Maintain documentation for platform configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

    • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless operations.

    • Contribute to the development and documentation of corporate policies and procedures.

    • Perform regular platform updates and patches, ensuring the system stability and security compliance

    • Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments

      Required Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in administering and managing AEM environments.

    • Proficiency in AEM administration, including configurations for author, publish, and dispatcher.

    • Strong knowledge of Apache Sling, JCR, OSGi, and dispatcher setups.

    • Experience with web server technologies like Apache HTTP Server or Nginx.

    • Experience in the automation and scripting languages tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, Python etc..

    • Hands-on experience with cloud-based AEM implementations (e.g., AEM as a Cloud Service, AWS, Azure).

    • Proficiency in analyzing log files, thread dumps, and heap dumps to resolve issues.

    • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace, or Splunk).

    • Utilize expertise in cloud security to implement and maintain security controls, monitoring and compliance measures for cloud based applications.

    • Experience coaching and developing individuals for increased effectiveness and working with a geographically dispersed workforce is a plus.

    • Willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies and/or concepts

    • Excellent verbal and written technical documentation skills
