Brian Hansen
Senior VP, Design
As the Senior Vice President of Design at Okta, Brian leads teams in Product Design, User Research, and Brand Design. He is responsible for ensuring Okta’s products are well designed, as well as creating a visual brand that signals trust and quality. Working in software for his entire career, Brian began at PeopleSoft, where he did a brief stint in Professional Services before moving on as an Application Engineer. But he was always drawn to UI design and asking whether users could understand the apps he built. His next move was to follow his heart, becoming a designer for a small startup. After learning “a ton” there, he joined Okta as employee #6 and its first product designer.
Brian earned a B.A. in economics and computing from University of California, Los Angeles.
