Okta names Eric Kelleher President and Chief Operating Officer
Todd McKinnon, CEO and co-founder, shared the following communication with Oktanauts today.
Hi Everyone,
I’m sharing a couple of important leadership updates as we march ahead in FY26 and prepare for the next phase in Okta’s growth.
Thank you, Eugenio
Eugenio Pace has decided to retire at the end of March. Eugenio has been a leader, an innovator, and an important part of shaping Okta in countless ways. Whether we were in a meeting or working out, he never missed a chance to challenge and push me to do my best. Eugenio’s contributions have made a lasting impact, and I’m thankful for everything he’s done to help position us for future success. Thank you, Eugenio!
Announcing Eric Kelleher as President and Chief Operating Officer
This transition has allowed us the opportunity to reimagine our leadership structure, and I’m excited to announce Eric Kelleher’s appointment to President and Chief Operating Officer, a new role that will oversee Marketing, Customer First, Company Operations, GTM Strategy & Operations, Business Technology, Data & Insights, Communications and Okta for Good.
Working alongside Eric over the last eight years has shown me how much he cares about his teams’ and Okta’s success. He’s built a world-class Customer First organization and, as President of Customer Experience & Communications, has elevated Marketing and Communications to raise Okta’s reputation and performance. Under his leadership, we’ve strengthened customer trust, drove record pipe gen and ARR growth, and solidified Okta as the leader in identity. More than that, he’s been a trusted partner to me, Tstaff, and his teams.
Eric’s results-driven approach and ability to bring teams together makes him the right person to step into this role, and I couldn’t be more excited to see where he takes us.
Thanks,
Todd
