Okta Workflows authorized at FedRAMP High: A new era of secure automation for the U.S. Public Sector

Okta Workflows is authorized for Okta for Government High

As Okta’s U.S. Public Sector leader, my top priority is supporting our public service providers as they modernize IT to improve efficiency and service delivery. This includes adopting modern tools and creating innovative workflow frameworks that streamline burdensome and time-consuming tasks for the government workforce.

A consistent theme emerges throughout my interactions: How can we provide tools and resources that enable our workforce to serve the public more effectively and efficiently? Addressing this challenge begins with Identity. Identity-powered security reduces silos across applications, systems, and organizations within agencies. What’s more, modern Identity-centric automation tools offer teams low- and no-code options for building and managing complex functions, maintaining compliance standards, and improving experience management.

That’s why I’m so excited to announce a new milestone in our ongoing commitment to our public service providers: Okta Workflows is now authorized at the FedRAMP High level and available for FedRAMP High customers and eligible FedRAMP Moderate customers. FedRAMP High requires rigorous compliance with a set of comprehensive security controls to help ensure the protection of sensitive government data.

This authorization marks a significant step in Okta’s journey to enhance our security offerings for public-sector customers and mission partners who require elevated security and compliance levels but still need the market’s best cloud-based tools. It’s the result of our commitment to do our part to safeguard our nation’s information systems.

When it comes to U.S. government service delivery, efficiency is a core metric of the mutual trust and civic pride agencies share with the American public. Prioritizing efficient service delivery is a key component for rebuilding that trust. An effective solution will also automate and scale impact for citizens, other eligible persons, and government employees.
