Launch Week '24: Oktane edition

Launch Week is here again, and this time around we have a special Oktane edition. As usual, you’ll learn about our newest innovations, but you’ll also get a sneak peek into exciting developments that will be available in the coming year.

Let’s dive in.

Okta Workforce Identity Cloud

Identity has become the organizational security linchpin, and threat actors know it: Most breaches today use compromised identities.¹ As organizations embrace a Zero Trust, defense-in-depth security model, they also need to adopt a comprehensive, unified Identity Security strategy that’s deeply integrated across their security tooling and tech stack.

In this quarter’s Launch Week, we’re introducing new offerings to deepen our customers' security across the spectrum of Identity, before, during, and after authentication.

Workflows: Post-audit for FedRAMP High — Authorization expected in Q4

The rapid digitization of public services over the past decade has produced complicated tech stacks whose benefits are outweighed by the inconvenience they build into essential functions. Okta’s modern, Identity-centric automation platform, Workflows, offers public sector teams low- and no-code options for building and managing complex functions, maintaining compliance standards, and improving experience management. Available to FedRAMP High and eligible FedRAMP Moderate customers.

Extended Device Single Sign-On

Organizations want their employees to have a simple yet secure experience when working on corporate devices to sustain a productive workforce. This means reducing the number of authentication prompts to minimize friction while maintaining security standards. With Extended Device Single Sign-On (Extended Device SSO), a user is verified at device login, which initiates a hardware-protected SSO session that enables access to Okta-protected apps with fewer MFA challenges. Since access is tied only to the user and their device, organizations can see greater protection from user context-based exploits. Extended Device SSO will be available soon with Okta Device Access.

Okta Customer Identity Cloud

As businesses evolve, so do their tech stacks and business needs. Through growth, organizations need more features and flows to better secure and optimize the customer experience, which presents new opportunities and challenges.

Okta provides an integrated and adaptable Identity solution that connects the entire tech stack and allows organizations to orchestrate end-to-end security and personalized digital journeys.

In this quarter’s Launch Week, we’re announcing further innovations to help create personalized, secure, and highly integrated customer experiences.

Forms — Generally Available

Frictionless sign-up and login experiences are crucial to win over customers and stay competitive. Businesses need tools that help keep operations efficient and secure, help drive customer retention and growth, adjust to their unique security needs, and unify and activate data across multiple apps and systems. Forms is a new feature of Okta’s Actions extensibility platform that provides developers and UX teams with a no-code visual editor to easily and quickly build forms that customize the login and sign-up experience.

Auth0 plans just got an upgrades — Generally Available

We’re also excited to announce that we’ve added more value to our Free, Essentials, Professional, and Enterprise plans to better support our customers' needs.

With Customer Identity Cloud Free plans, we're enabling up to 25,000 monthly active users and a custom domain. Additionally, B2B self-service plans now support unlimited* orgs and B2C self-service plans provide unlimited Okta Connections.

Auth for GenAI

Organizations are sprinting to add AI to their applications, but there’s no blueprint for doing so securely. With Auth for GenAI, organizations will be able to validate that AI agents have the right and least-privileged access to sensitive information, call APIs secretly to access data, and implement human-in-the-loop processes.

Interested? Auth for GenAI is coming soon, but you can join our waitlist here to be the first to find out when features become available.
