What is Every’s mission?
Every’s mission is to be the entire back office for founders going from $0 to their first $1 million in revenue, and beyond.
What drove you to start Every?
I started Every because, as a founder, I was spending so much time on back-office operations that I couldn’t focus on mission-critical products or sales. Founders just starting out don’t hire finance or HR professionals as their first hires, they hire engineers and sales, so the Founder is the one left doing the administrative work, which is critical but the least ROI-driven task you can focus on as a founder trying to get your company off the ground.
What is Every’s solution and what makes it unique?
Every is truly a turnkey back office solution for founders. From the point of incorporation to setting up banking, payroll, accounting, and taxes, we wrap our integrated platform with dedicated concierge support and professional services. The mission is to be THE back-office solution for founders. And our solution is very much tailored to them. It’s not over-engineered for the enterprise. In addition, many of our cashback rewards and incentives go directly back to founders to support them.
Why are you partnering with Okta?
Okta has built a transformational product and community around single sign-on (SSO), and we believe a partnership model allows us to scale Okta’s offering to our market segment. We know that growing companies need SSO products. A partnership approach allows companies like Every to embed and make enterprise-scale solutions like Okta more accessible for our customers.
What gap in the market does Okta plus Every address?
We think this is where leveraging Okta’s solution for our market segment makes a ton of sense. As companies grow, they’ll be able to scale with our ecosystem partners. At the same time, our product roadmap can be focused on areas where the most enterprise value can be delivered for our customers. Right now, early-stage tech companies just don’t have access to critical products like Okta, but we aim to address that and fill the gap.
What’s a killer feature you’re super proud of?
Something as simple as AI bill pay. We’re always trying to make small optimizations for founders. Instead of larger macro-level marketing features, we do releases that we can measure actual ROI. In this case, it’s literally clicks and seconds saved. Add this up over the entire workflow of a busy founder and we’re giving them back hours.
