Amazon Web Services Teams Up with Okta to Deliver Secure Access to Applications
Today at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of AWS Verified Access with Okta as a supported identity provider. AWS Verified Access is built on the principles of Zero Trust, delivering secure access to private applications without a VPN by evaluating each request in real-time using contextual security signals like identity, device security status, and location. With Okta as the identity layer for AWS Verified Access, our joint customers can streamline access to the applications their users have permissions to, with additional real-time security anytime and anywhere.
With organizations facing increasing security risks, Okta and AWS Verified Access provide a solution that helps accelerate the Zero Trust journey for our customers. Okta integration with AWS Verified Access makes it quick, easy, and secure to deliver access to workloads with a single click. Secure access to the right users on the right device is ensured by directly federating Okta with AWS Verified Access via AWS IAM Identity Center (successor to AWS SSO). Together, we’re building more connections to improve security posture while also providing a better user experience as organizations move their workloads to the cloud. Okta has 20+ integrations for a variety of AWS technologies that you can leverage today to enable seamless and secure user and customer experiences.
AWS Verified Access is launching as a preview, with a General Availability (GA) launch in 2023. How can you take advantage of it today? Get started here or contact your Okta account rep.
