Okta + atSpoke Join Forces

At Okta, we pride ourselves on being a trusted partner to businesses globally as they seek to connect people and technology. And with trends around remote work, cloud migration and cybersecurity accelerating with COVID-19, we’re more focused on this than ever.

To help customers meet these growing Identity challenges, at Oktane21, we announced Okta would launch an Identity Governance offering to deliver a more unified and comprehensive Identity platform. Today, we are taking another step forward in that commitment — I’m excited to announce we have acquired atSpoke, a modern workplace operations platform to help us bring our Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) vision to life.

How does atSpoke fit into this vision? To effectively and securely manage access to applications and infrastructure at scale, organizations and teams must have frictionless self-service experiences. Through its user experiences rooted in natural language interfaces and a robust platform for tasks and workflow, we are confident that atSpoke will modernize the Identity Governance experience for end users, line of business users and IT administrators alike. We believe this will unlock an opportunity to make IGA products not only tolerated, but loved.

We are thrilled to be joining forces with the atSpoke team. Like Okta, atSpoke has a passion for delivering modern experiences that accelerate the adoption of technology and keep it secure. Our shared values, rooted in customer success, will open up new ways for our customers to use identity to more effectively meet their business needs.

The atSpoke team will continue to be led by Jay Srinivasan and Pratyus Patnaik who will be taking leadership positions in our product and engineering teams. Jay and Pratyus bring unique expertise in leading exceptional teams to Okta. Prior to founding atSpoke, Jay and Pratyus also founded Appurify, a mobile test automation service acquired by Google in 2014. As Jay put it, “this combination will maximize the customer experience with our forces working to address critical pain points in access management, a crucial field in today’s modern workforce, through Okta’s outstanding platform.” We welcome the atSpoke team and cannot wait to work together.
