Okta joins Splunk’s Adaptive Response Initiative

At Okta, we know automation is essential for CXOs as data and services multiply across the enterprise. Today, we’re excited to join other security leaders as part of Splunk’s Adaptive Response Initiative. As part of the Initiative, we look forward to giving customers the ability to use more complete context to detect threats more quickly, which will allow them to deliver a more automated and continuous response.

Adaptive response is a common framework for automating retrieval and sharing of data, which extends the value of existing security architectures, enabling security teams to quickly and confidently apply Splunk’s analytics-driven security decisions and actions to infrastructure based on end-to-end context. Splunk’s Adaptive Response Initiative brings together vendors from multiple IT areas to collaborate and implement best practices for interacting with data, while taking action to address modern cyber threat challenges.

In joining the Adaptive Response Initiative, Okta continues to build on our partnership with Splunk. We recently enabled customers to integrate their existing security solutions with Splunk® Enterprise and Splunk Cloud. With the Splunk Add-on for Okta, customers can leverage Splunk solutions to correlate data across their existing security tools with Okta’s identity analytics, providing visibility into identity data, including user and app activity across cloud, mobile and on-premises systems.

Our continued collaboration with partners like Splunk fits into our mission of helping businesses and their employees do their most important work efficiently and securely. Today’s announcement is another step in that journey as we work to make security increasingly adaptive and comprehensive for all of our customers.
