Okta's First Rodeo Ends with a Roundup
You can bet the farm that everyone from Okta involved in this year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo had a great time. Every year, the Houston Rodeo gathers together nearly 2.5 million people and this year Okta got in on the action, because what could be better than bringing people together for a cook-off, concerts and some of the finest rodeo athletes around?
The show offered great rodeo entertainment which included a whole bunch of lasso’ing, mutton bustin’, barrel racing, and of course bull riding. We hosted a suite for our customers and friends in attendance, all of whom were also lucky enough to experience the great Kenny Chesney and Kid Rock in concert. We also secured a tent for the three-day World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, which like most everything else in Texas, consisted of some intense competition and a lot of delicious BBQ. Congratulations to overall grand champion, the Bulldog Mountain Cookin’ Crew 2!
We learned from experience that the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is an intense few weeks of fun for everyone involved. And to top it off, this year, the organizers saw the all-time paid Rodeo/Concert attendance record broken with 75,508 fans for Go Tejano Day. The record breaking feat inspired us to analyze some of the numbers we gathered over our few days at the rodeo:
Thanks to everyone who joined us to talk identity while watching the rodeo or chowing down on BBQ! Until next year… yeehaw!
